Shaurya Chakra for Imran Hussain Tak & Ashiq Hussain Malik

Jammu and Kashmir Police Sub Inspector Imran Hussain Tak and Special Police Officer (SPO) Ashiq Hussain Malik have been conferred with Shaurya Chakra posthumously.

Tak was awarded for killing a top terrorist commander and arresting another despite sustaining bullet injuries in Srinagar in 2017 while Malik was conferred with award for showing the highest degree of courage leading to the elimination of 4 heavily armed terrorists during an operation in Anantnag in 2018.
