The Delhi Traffic Police on Friday issued a traffic advisory announcing restrictions in the Paharganj area from April 10 to April 12 due to the annual Satsang (Ijtema) at Shahi Idgah. Authorities expect a daily footfall of around 50,000 devotees, prompting regulated vehicular movement between 8 am and 8 pm across key stretches.

According to the advisory, traffic will be impacted on Rani Jhansi Road, R.K. Marg, and near the Eidgah roundabout, along with adjoining areas. Commuters have been advised to avoid these routes during peak hours and instead use Faiz Road as an alternate corridor.

Police officials said congestion is likely to intensify during the entry and exit periods of the Shahi Idgah gathering.

The final dispersal of devotees is scheduled for April 12 after 10 pm, when additional traffic pressure is expected in and around Delhi's Sadar Bazar. Authorities have urged residents and commuters to plan their journeys in advance and follow real-time updates issued through official traffic channels to minimise inconvenience.
