“Prime minister Narendra Modi had said after the passage of Article 370 and 35A, that this would be a new beginning for employment and happiness in Jammu and Kashmir. This is a huge milestone in fulfilling the promise made by the PM to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Industrial development for India, a good environment for it, and a policy that is competitive globally, are the hallmarks of the Modi government,” Shah said.
The portal was launched under the ‘New Central sector scheme for industrial development of Jammu and Kashmir’ which is applicable for any eligible manufacturing entity or eligible service sector enterprise which is registered as a business enterprise under the Goods and Service Tax, according to the ministry of commerce and industry.The prime minister has laid out a plan with the target of providing clean drinking water to every household before 2022. Jammu and Kashmir will achieve this target by August 15, 2022, Shah said adding that J&K is the only state where every person has received the benefit of the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana.Regarding security, the home minister said elections to the three-tier panchayati raj system were conducted peacefully without a single bullet being fired. By ensuring peace and security in Jammu and Kashmir, the number of tourists visiting the state has greatly increased.
Union ministers Piyush Goyal and Jitendra Singh were also present for the launch of the portal.
