Authorities have advised people not to panic. Notably, Chennai Public School in DAV Gopalapuram and St Mary’s School in Parrys are some of the schools that have received the bomb threat.
"Bomb threat e-mails were received at a few educational institutions in GCP limits. GCP/BDDS teams have been sent for Anti-Sabotage Checks in these educational institutions and action is being taken to identifying the culprit who sent these e-mails. Public are requested not to be panic," Greater Chennai said on X.
The police have stated that they are actively working to identify the individual responsible for sending the threatening email to at least four schools in the city. In order to ensure safety, Bomb Detection and Disposal Squads (BDDS) have been dispatched to the schools to conduct thorough inspections for any signs of sabotage.
