According to an order that circulated on social media on Sunday, a team of seven veterinary doctors was sent to treat the cow of Fatehpur's district magistrate.

Apoorva Dubey, the District Magistrate, however, called the incident "conspiracy" and insisted that she did not make any such order.

The order was issued on June 9, but the Acting Chief Veterinary Officer (CVO) withdrew it the next day.

The DM claimed the CVO's order was issued unreasonably and the officer cancelled it when she asked him to do so.

There have been complaints about the officer in the past, the DM stated, and she plans to file a formal complaint with the Veterinary Department.

Several warnings had been issued to him in the past as well, she said.
