The 44th meeting of Council of Regional Anti Terrorist Structure (RATS) of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) was held at Cholpon Ata, Kyrgyz Republic on September 10 and it strongly condemned the Pahalgam Terror Attack.

While doing so, the Council of RATS SCO endorsed the statement on the condemnation of Pahalgam Terror Attack in the Tianjin Declaration signed during the SCO Council of Heads of State (CHS) meeting held on September 01, 2025 in Tianjin, China. PM Narendra Modi had recently attended the Tianjin meet.

This RATS Council meet was organised under the Chairmanship of Kyrgyz Republic. The Indian delegation was headed by TV Ravichandran, Deputy NSA. Ravichandran in his speech at the RATS SCO Council meeting appealed to hold accountable the sponsors, organisers and financiers of inexcusable Pahalgam terror attack.


The Deputy NSA also stated that SCO member states must shun double standards and resolve to fight terrorism in all forms and manifestations.
