Authorities in Gautam Buddh Nagar have issued an official order regarding the operation of schools and educational institutions on specific dates. According to the directive, all schools in the region will be open only until 2 pm on September 21 and will remain closed on September 22. This decision is in light of two significant events taking place in Greater Noida - the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UP ITS) and the MotoGP race.

Dharmveer Singh, the district inspector of schools, issued two separate orders, one concerning schools and the other addressing colleges, universities, and other educational institutions. He emphasized that the UP ITS 2023 event is scheduled to be held at the India Expo Centre and Mart from September 21 to 25. Simultaneously, the MotoGP race will take place at the Buddha International Circuit in Greater Noida from September 22 to 24.

Singh elaborated on the reasons behind these directives, stating, "A huge turnout of visitors and spectators is expected during these events. In compliance with the instructions given by district magistrate Manish Verma, the orders have been passed to ensure that there is no inconvenience to the students and their parents. This decision is taken with the possibility of large crowds in mind, as well as considerations for law enforcement, security, and traffic management."

It's essential to note that these orders apply to all schools and educational institutions in both Noida and Greater Noida. The expectation is that both the UP ITS 2023 and the MotoGP race will draw a substantial number of attendees, including foreign visitors. President Droupadi Murmu is also anticipated to be present at these events, according to police officials.

Furthermore, to maintain public safety and security, CrPC section 144 has already been enforced, prohibiting large gatherings of people and the use of private drones. Additionally, significant traffic diversions have been announced to ease congestion on key routes throughout Noida and Greater Noida.

Private companies, particularly those in the IT sector, have received guidance to consider options such as allowing employees to work from home and adjusting shift timings during the event period. These measures are intended to alleviate the anticipated road traffic load and ensure smooth operations during the UP International Trade Show and MotoGP race.
