SC to hear plea on implementation of guidelines for children safety on Sept 24

The Supreme Court on Wednesday agreed to hear a plea moved by Bachpan Bachao Andolan regarding the implementation of the Centre's guidelines on the safety and security of children in educational institutes in the country.

The court will hear the matter on September 24, 2024.

The action by the SC comes in the wake of recent sexual assault incidents of children in schools including Badlapur in Maharashtra.
