The Supreme Court sought responses from the Centre and West Bengal government on Mahua Moitra’s plea alleging obstruction in carrying out MPLADS works and other constituency-related functions.
New Delhi: SC has sought responses from the Centre and Bengal government on a plea filed by TMC MP Mahua Moitra, alleging obstruction in the implementation of works under the Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) in her Krishnanagar constituency.

Justices Joymalya Bagchi and V Mohana were hearing Moitra's plea, alleging that her functioning as an MP had been impeded, including through difficulties in carrying out MPLADS-related works and accessing facilities during visits to her constituency.
