SC pulls up Uttar Pradesh Police over laxity in registering hate crime cases
The Supreme Court on Monday observed that there is a growing consensus around hate speech and stressed there is no scope for hate crimes on the basis of religion in a secular country such as India. The SC has also expressed dissatisfaction with the UP Police for showing laxity in registering hate crime cases.
