The All India Congress Committee (AICC) spokesman Abhishek Singhvi on Tuesday pointed out that the mandatory inscription of 'Satyameva Jayate' was "missing on the national emblem unveiled on the new building" and said he hoped the mistake would be corrected soon.

While Singhvi avoided a question on the debate raging on social media on the expressions of the four lions of the national emblem unveiled on the new Parliament building, AICC communication in-charge Jairam Ramesh tweeted, "To completely change the character and nature of the lions on Ashoka's pillar at Sarnath is nothing but a brazen insult to India's National Symbol!"
