Sarat Kr. Jain has been nominated as the Chairman of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Assam State Council

Sarat Kr. Jain, Group Chief Managing Director- SM Group has been nominated as the Chairman of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Assam State Council.

Jain is also the Managing Director of S M Corporation Ltd., Chairman-SM- JDB(Novotel, Guwahati), Chairman–Aura Hospitality (Taj Vivanta Shillong), Chairman–SM Infrastructure– Real Estate, Chairman–Bitchem, Asphalt Technologies Ltd and Director–Excel Care Hospital and Apollo Hospital Guwahati.

He has been involved in development and growth of International Hospital, a leading Hospital in the North-East heading the institution’s finance, Human Resource division and Infrastructure Development Committees.


Since 2015, Jain has been spearheading management of Marwari Hospitals as President. In his tenure, he positioned the health institution as one of the leading brand in healthcare in the North Eastern Region. Along with his acumen the hospital played a crucial role in COVID management during the 1^st and 2^nd wave of the Pandemic.

ICC stated, “Jain has joined ICC Assam State Council to contribute towards the various initiatives aimed at reforms, policy advocacy, ease of doing business, market linkages and promotion of sustainable business practices etc. in the Assam and linking the region with the wider pragmatic perspective”.
