Same-sex marriage: RSS Chief Bhagwat says ‘prepare society first, then make laws’
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat addressed the issue of LGBTQIA+ people and same-sex marriage during an interaction in Mumbai. Bhagwat said LGBTQIA+ people are part of society and called for a system that can accommodate same-sex companions. He argued that society needs to be prepared before laws are framed, and said the existing concept of marriage should not be altered without considering its wider social role.
