Maharashtra Police reveal how Bishnoi gang planned Moosewala-like murder of Salman Khan

Dabangg actor Salman Khan's attack was allegedly planned to be carried out either during a movie shoot or while the actor was leaving his Panvel farmhouse, like Sidhu Moosewala's murder, with weapons from Pakistan by Bishnoi gang members. An in-depth analysis of intelligence, technical examinations of suspects' mobile phones, WhatsApp group formations, tower locations, and eyewitness audio and video calls revealed the chilling plot in the Salman Khan shooting case.

Members of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's gang were allegedly planning to assassinate actor Salman Khan using sophisticated weapons from Pakistan, including AK-47s, according to The Times of India report quoting a chargesheet filed by the Panvel police.

The police submitted the 350-page chargesheet against five Bishnoi gang members to the Panvel magistrate court last week, detailing the plot, planned attack, and escape routes.


In early April, Panvel police inspector Nitin Thackeray received intelligence about an attack being planned on Khan by members of the Bishnoi gang. Investigations revealed that Bishnoi had offered a Rs 25 lakh contract to gang members for the attack. Communication within the gang was carried out through a WhatsApp group with 15-16 members, including Bishnoi's cousin in Canada, Anmol Bishnoi, as well as Goldy Brar, Ajay Kashyap, Vinod Bhatia, Vaspi Mehmood Khan (alias China), and Rizwan Hassan Khan.

The police identified Sukha Shooter and Dogar from Pakistan as suppliers of sophisticated weapons like AK-47s, M16s, or M5s for the gang. Kashyap rented a house near Khan's Panvel farmhouse to study the area. Kashyap and Javed China had already conducted reconnaissance of Khan's Panvel farmhouse, Film City in Goregaon, and his residence in Bandra.
