S Jaishankar holds India, France, and UAE trilateral meeting on space, AI and energy

India, France and the UAE reviewed progress in their trilateral cooperation in areas such as space, artificial intelligence, culture and heritage at a ministerial meeting in New York on 22 September, 2026. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar led the Indian delegation, while French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noel Barrot headed the French side. UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan led the Emirati delegation.

The three ministers also discussed the situation in West Asia and emphasised the need to strengthen and expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

India, France and the UAE reaffirmed their commitment to building constructive ties through concrete initiatives.

Jaishankar said the three countries discussed opportunities arising from their “shared interests and complementary capabilities” and agreed to meet again soon to take the discussions forward, in a post on X.
