"In terms of BRICS member states, Indian films are the most popular here. We even have a dedicated TV channel that broadcasts Indian movies around the clock," Putin said, underscoring the enthusiasm for Indian cinema in Russia.
He also referenced ongoing cultural collaborations, such as the BRICS film festival and the inclusion of films from BRICS nations in this year's Moscow International Film Festival. Putin expressed optimism about further promoting Indian films in Russia and mentioned his willingness to discuss the matter with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Beyond cinema, Putin indicated the potential for cooperation in other fields, such as pharmaceuticals, and suggested a comprehensive approach to strengthening India-Russia ties. "If there is interest from the Indian film industry, we will find common ground to support their promotion in Russia," he added.
