Russian Firms Eye Tech Ties With India Ahead of BRICS
Companies from Russia will showcase their products and technologies at Innoprom.India, a joint India-Russia industrial exposition to be held from September 9 to 11 ahead of the BRICS Summit.
Russian aviation, technology, energy, mining, nuclear and heavy industry companies are attending the exposition, according to people familiar with the event. Innoprom will showcase advanced technologies and explore cooperation across sectors ranging from aviation to artificial intelligence, organisers said.
The main plenary session on September 10 will be attended by Russian industry and trade minister Anton Alikhanov and Indian commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal. Discussions will focus on deepening the strategic partnership, expanding bilateral trade and investment, increasing market access and developing joint industrial projects, according to the organisers. Other sessions will cover business cooperation, regional aviation, digital technologies, trade infrastructure, critical minerals and raw materials, and additive manufacturing, ET has learnt.
Last week, ET reported that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin will jointly attend Innoprom.India.
