Speaking at an Independence Day event in Nagpur on Saturday, Bhagwat said the demographic dividend can help the country become a "Vishwaguru" if it is nurtured well.

"There will be different views, and there will be different ways of expressing those views; that is democracy. Here there is dialogue, debate and a manner of presenting one's arguments. There will be different viewpoints, there will be opposition, too," Bhagwat said. "When questions are raised in the public interest, they must be raised forcefully. We must put our strength behind them."

Addressing the youth, Bhagwat said, "It is being said that youth are our demographic dividend and if utilised well, they could well help the country become a 'Vishwaguru'."
