Speaking of the idea behind the event, robotics expert Bhuvnesh Mishra said, "When all of us are celebrating Diwali, personnel in the fire brigade and police and sanitation workers are performing their duties away from their families. In such situations, these robots can become their support."
According to Mishra, these robots can effectively perform tasks such as trying to extinguish a fire in an emergency or fixing a clog in a sewage pipe.
The Gulmohar Garden Society's robots included the Xena 5.0 All Terrain Robot, the Xena 6.0 Solar Manhole Cleaning Robot, the Sona 3.5 AI Humanoid Robot, and the Sona 2.5 Service Robot Men.
Sona 2.5 was in charge of the cafeteria's food service, while Sona 3.5 handled complaints, provided feedback, and answered questions about society.
Xena 5.0 is a powerful and compact defence robot designed in the style of an Army tank. During the festivities, it served as a guard, activated the fire fighting system, watered the garden, and monitored video. It also manned the parking area and signalled for vehicles parked incorrectly to be removed.
Xena 6.0, on the other hand, demonstrated its ability to clean deep manholes and drainage lines. The solar-powered robot has GPS and a gas detection alarm.
