Revenue secretary Tarun Bajaj received additional charge of the post of Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs with immediate effect on Monday.

This comes a few days after the appointment of Rajesh Verma as Secretary at Rashtrapati Bhavan to President Droupadi Murmu.

Earlier this year he given the additional charge of Economic Affairs Secretary till August 12 as incumbent EAS Ajay Seth was on leave.



It was the second time in this calendar year that Bajaj was given the additional charge of economic affairs secretary. Earlier, he was appointed to the post for an interim period between April 14 and 30 as Seth had proceeded on a leave.

The Revenue Secretary has held the post of full-time economic affairs secretary between May 2020 and April 2021. He was subsequently appointed as the revenue secretary.
