Retired IAS officer Anil Verma appointed chairman of West Bengal Public Service Commission
Kolkata: Retired IAS officer Anil Verma has been appointed chairman of the West Bengal Public Service Commission, a notification by the state government said on Monday.

The appointment has been made by the governor under Article 316(1) of the Constitution of India and will take effect from the date Verma assumes charge of the office, the Finance Department notification said.

"The Governor is pleased to appoint Anil Verma, IAS (Retd.), as Chairman of the Public Service Commission, West Bengal, with effect from the date on which he takes over charge of the said office," the notification said.
