Republic Day 2024 Parade: ISRO's Chandrayaan, Lord Ram, and BrahMos to be the highlight this year

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is set to make a stellar display at this year's Republic Day Parade with its tableau featuring the historic Chandrayaan-3 mission. The focus is on the successful launch and landing on the moon's South Pole, marking a significant achievement for India's space exploration endeavors.

Chandrayaan-3 Triumphs

The ISRO tableau prominently highlights the Chandrayaan-3 mission, showcasing both its launch and the remarkable landing on the moon's South Pole. Named the Shiv Shakti Point, the landing site witnessed the successful touch down of the Chandrayaan-3 lander module on August 23, 2023, making India the first country to achieve this milestone.


India's Space Odyssey in 2023

In a testament to India's prowess in space exploration, the year 2023 saw the successful soft landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the Moon's South Pole. Additionally, India marked the launch of Aditya-L1, its maiden solar mission, reaching new heights in the global space community.

Future Endeavors in Space

Looking ahead, India has set ambitious goals, including the upcoming Gaganyaan Mission in 2024-2025, the establishment of 'Bharatiya Antariksha Station' by 2035, and plans to send the first Indian astronaut to the Moon by 2040. Uttar Pradesh's Republic Day Showcase

Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh tableau for the Republic Day Parade prominently features Lord Ram, marking the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the ceremony, unveiling the Ram Lalla idol after hour-long rituals.

Devotion and Development

Post the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony, devotees flocked to Shri Ram Temple to offer prayers. In addition to the religious depiction, the tableau showcases development initiatives, including the newly developed Meerut Rapid Rail. The display also features the BrahMos missile, underlining Uttar Pradesh's role in manufacturing next-generation missiles.

A total of 25 tableaux will grace the Republic Day parade, with 16 from various states and union territories, and 9 from central government departments. Notable among them is France's President Emmanuel Macron, serving as the chief guest, adding an international dimension to the event.
