Refused egg curry, Gurugram man kills live-in partner

According to authorities, Yadav confessed to losing his temper after the woman declined his request to prepare egg curry. He proceeded to assault her with both a hammer and a belt, they added. Lallan had a habitual drinking problem and engaged in frequent altercations with the woman, a police official said.
Yadav, originally from Aurahi village in Bihar's Madhepura district, was apprehended by the Palam Vihar Police Station team from Delhi's Sarai Kale Khan vicinity.
The deceased, Anjali, aged 32 and employed as a ragpicker, was discovered deceased on Wednesday within the premises of an under-construction structure in Chauma village. Following the sighting of the body, a complaint was lodged by the caretaker of the building.
According to police sources, Yadav and Anjali had been transported to the work site on March 10 from Gurugram bus stand. Notably, the house owner failed to record their accurate names, addresses, and identifications. Yadav had presented Anjali as his spouse.
Yadav further disclosed during interrogation that his actual wife had passed away six years ago due to a snake bite, following which he relocated to Delhi. Approximately seven months prior, he met Anjali, who was employed as a ragpicker, and the two commenced cohabitating while laboring as construction workers, police disclosed.
"After committing the crime, he absconded. The hammer and belt utilized in the murder have been recovered, and the suspect is presently undergoing interrogation," stated Naveen Kumar, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) for Palam Vihar.
Man attacks wife
In a separate incident, Gurugram police reported on Thursday that a 25-year-old woman sustained injuries in Silokhera village after her husband allegedly assaulted her with a knife during a dispute. The altercation occurred on Wednesday night. Following the incident, Deepak Das was detained subsequent to the registration of a case at the Sector-40 police station, as per police sources.
According to authorities, Deepak, employed as a laborer, and Bulti, working as a domestic aide, resided in a rented residence in Silokhera. Police further stated that a heated argument between the couple led Deepak to attack Bulti with a knife in a fit of anger, resulting in her injury. Upon hearing the woman's distress calls, bystanders rushed to their residence.
