Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking ahead of the Union Budget 2026, said India has entered a new phase of accelerated reforms as Parliament convened for the Budget Session. Calling the Budget the first of a new economic phase, Modi linked it to the long-term goal of Viksit Bharat 2047. He said Indian manufacturers will gain access to expanded global markets, including the European Union, and urged industry to focus on quality and competitiveness.
