Several users from Bengaluru, Delhi, Chennai and Hyderabad shared updates on the platform, reporting inability to book a ride or login into the app.
However, no cause has yet been known behind the disruption.
"I’ve been using Rapido regularly to commute between home and office, but today I spent 20+ minutes trying to book a ride, only for the app to keep failing. I even deleted and reinstalled it, and now I can’t even log in because the OTP/server keeps throwing technical errors," a user said.
Users from Bengaluru reported problems with all the three cab service apps during peak hours on Thursday, August 27.
Rapido down: Check reason, latest updates
Rapido suffered a brief tech outage and is now back up for users. Over the next 15 minutes, the ride hailing platform will be up for all users.Other apps started working after a short duration of booking disruptions.
"Earlier today, some users experienced a brief technical issue while booking rides on the Rapido platform. Our internal teams identified and resolved the issue promptly, and all services have since been fully restored," said Rapido spokesperson.
