Baba Ramdev has moved the Supreme Court seeking a stay on FIRs filed against him across the country over his remarks questioning the efficacy of allopathic drugs in curing Covid-19.

He has sought consolidation and transfer of all FIRs and complaints filed against him in this context to facilitate a single probe against him. The Indian Medical Association had sharply criticised statements against modern medicines and doctors. Ramdev later withdrew those remarks after the intervention of Union health minister Harsh Vardhan.

FIRs were filed in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, and Patna and complaints in Kolkata and New Delhi too. Several sections of the Disaster Management Act have also been invoked against him.
