Rajasthan heat wave to continue, relief expected as temperatures expected to drop from June 1

Despite a slight decrease in maximum temperatures in some parts of Rajasthan, the scorching heat continued to disrupt normal life across the state on Thursday. The meteorological department stated that people would get relief from the intense heat wave conditions starting June 1.

Temperature Drops in Some Parts
In the last 24 hours, the temperature in some parts of the state dropped by one to three notches and is expected to fall further by 2-3 degrees Celsius in the next 48 hours, according to the MeT department.


Hottest Places Recorded
Ganganagar was the hottest place in the state on Thursday, recording a high of 48.3 degrees Celsius. Other areas that experienced intense heat include Pilani in Jhunjhunu at 47.6 degrees Celsius, Sangaria (Hanumangarh) at 47.2 degrees Celsius, Churu at 47 degrees Celsius, and Phalodi at 46.8 degrees Celsius.

High Temperatures in Various Cities
The mercury soared to 46.8 degrees Celsius in Bikaner, 46.1 degrees Celsius in Jaisalmer, 46 degrees Celsius in Alwar, 45.9 degrees Celsius in Dholpur, 45.3 degrees Celsius in Jaipur, and 44.5 degrees Celsius in Kota.

Light Rains Expected
The weather department has predicted light rains in some parts of Jaipur, Bharatpur, and Bikaner divisions from May 31 to June 2 due to a western disturbance.
