Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot’s son Vaibhav Gehlot on Monday appeared before the Enforcement Directorate for questioning in a Foreign Exchange Management Act case. Speaking to the media, Vaibhav Gehlot said that neither he nor his family made any foreign transactions.

ED had served a summons last week for his questioning amid the Rajasthan assembly elections picking up steam. It had earlier carried out searches on premises linked to Rajasthan Congress president Govind Singh Dotasra and Independent MLA Om Prakash Hudla too.

Summons to Vaibhav Gehlot is learnt to be connected with recent ED searches on Rajasthan-based hospitality group Triton Hotels, Vardha Enterprises and their directors and promoters. ED has claimed that it seized `1.2 crore ‘unaccounted cash’ during the searches.
