Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Divya Kumari on Wednesday presented the State Budget for FY26. On Monday, she had said that the budget would will be "historic" and include "several gifts" for the people. She assured that all announcements will be implemented.

"A really good and historic Budget is going to be presented. There are going to be several gifts for the people of the state. These won't be just announcements, we will implement whatever we announce. It will be an all-inclusive Budget," Diya Kumari said.

Starting the Budget session, Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani said the government will respond to issues raised by the Opposition after the Zero Hour on February 20.


The Budget session of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly began on January 31, with the address of Governor Haribhau Bagde.

Kumari announced that the government is committed to make the state a $350 billion economy. Shesaid the state government has delivered 58 per cent of its promises made in the election manifesto and has fulfilled 73 per cent of the previous Budget announcements.


Rajasthan Budget highlights

  • 2 lakh new houses will be provided with drinking water connections and on this initiative Rs 400 crore will be spent.
  • Nine greenfield expressways will be constructed at a cost of Rs 60,000 crore.
  • 1.25 lakh government posts will be filled in the next one year.
  • Construct ring roads in 15 cities of Rajasthan to ease traffic congestion.
  • 150 units of free electricity. Solar plates will be installed at the houses of beneficiaries of free electricity.
  • 5 lakh new domestic household electricity connections and 5000 new agricultural-related connections.
  • Rs 1,750 crore TSP fund will be dedicated to the development of backward areas. The Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Urban Development Scheme will be implemented with a budget of Rs 12,050 crore.
