A local court in Meghalaya has extended the police custody of Sonam and Raj, key accused in the alleged murder of Raja Raghuvanshi, by two more days. The court passed the order after police sought more time to interrogate the two individuals in connection with the killing.

In the same hearing, the court remanded three alleged contract killers to 14-day judicial custody. These individuals were arrested and are suspected to have been hired to carry out the murder..

Raja Raghuvanshi was found dead under suspicious circumstances in East Khasi Hills district last week. According to investigators, the murder appears to have been planned and executed with help from professional hitmen.
