Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, wife welcome baby girl

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and his wife Gurpreet Kaur welcomed a baby girl on Thursday. Mann announced the joyous news in a post on social media platform X.


"The Almighty has given (me) the gift of a daughter. Both the mother and the baby are healthy," he said.


In another post, the chief minister shared a picture of his newborn daughter.


Mann married Kaur in 2022 after he separated from his first wife in 2015.

He has two children from his first marriage - a son and a daughter.

Prior to this, the late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala's parents, Charan Kaur and Balkaur Singh, celebrated the arrival of a baby boy. This joyous news was shared by Balkaur Singh on Instagram, expressing thanks for the well-wishes and the family's good health.

It's reported that Moosewala's parents opted for IVF (In vitro fertilization) for the pregnancy.

IVF is a fertility treatment involving the extraction of eggs from a woman's ovaries, fertilization with sperm in a laboratory, and the subsequent implantation of embryos into the woman's uterus. This method is often chosen by individuals or couples facing infertility issues and involves several stages, including ovarian stimulation, egg retrieval, fertilization, embryo culture, and embryo transfer. Additionally, IVF may include preimplantation genetic testing to screen embryos for genetic abnormalities. While IVF has helped many achieve pregnancy, it can be emotionally, physically, and financially demanding, with success rates varying based on various factors. Support and counseling are crucial throughout the IVF process.
