Pune weather: City shivers as cold wave grips parts of Maharashtra

A cold wave in parts of Maharashtra has affected Pune city as temperature on Tuesday dropped to 8 degree Celsius, the lowest of the season. The Baramati region of the district recorded 7.8 degree Celsius.

The lowest temperatures were seen in NDA at 6.5 degrees Celsius and Haveli at 6.9 degrees Celsius.



The weather in Pune and its surrounding areas varied in various regoins. Lonavala recorded the highest at 15.3 degrees Celsius. Other areas such as Wadgaon Sheri reached 15.2 degrees Celsius, Magarpatta reported 15.0 degrees Celsius, and Rajgurunagar recorded 10.3 degrees Celsius. Baramati and Bhor had temperatures of 7.8 degrees Celsius and 12.3 degrees Celsius, respectively, while Purandar stood at 10.7 degrees Celsius.


The minimum temperature on Wednesday is expected to be 11 degree Celsius and the maximum temperature is likely to touch 28 degree Celsius. The sky will be partially cloudy.

Temperature is likely to further rise and range between 13 degrees Celsius and 30 degrees Celsius on Thursday. It is expected to remain the same on Friday and on Saturday, the weather will remain partly cloudy with haze, with temperatures ranging from 14 degrees Celsius to 30 degrees Celsius.
