Pune Porsche accident case: Forensic report confirms blood sample swap, Police to court
A forensic report in the Pune Porsche crash case revealed that the blood samples used belonged to the teen driver's mother, Police told a court. The incident, involving a Porsche and a two-wheeler, resulted in death of two IT professionals.

The Pune police have requested a 14-day extension of remand for the 17-year-old involved in the crash that resulted in two fatalities. This request was made to the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB), as the current remand period was set to expire on today.

The crash occurred in the early hours of May 19 in Kalyani Nagar, Pune, when a Porsche, allegedly driven by the intoxicated juvenile, collided with a two-wheeler, killing two IT professionals. Initially, the JJB had granted bail to the minor, a real estate developer's son, and directed him to write a 300-word essay on road safety. However, following public outcry, the police petitioned the JJB again, resulting in the minor being sent to an observation home until June 5.
The police have arrested several individuals in connection with the case, including the juvenile’s parents, two doctors, and another staff member from Sassoon General Hospital. The charges revolve around the swapping of the juvenile’s blood samples with his mother’s to manipulate evidence. The juvenile's grandfather has also been detained related to the incident.
On Tuesday, the police arrested two more individuals who allegedly acted as intermediaries. These men are accused of facilitating financial transactions between the juvenile’s father and the implicated doctors. The police reported that they gave Rs 3 lakh to a hospital employee to pass on to a doctor for the purpose of swapping the blood samples.
