Pune Porsche accident case: CP Amitesh Kumar, says 'Driver pressurised and threatened'
The Pune police Crime Branch has arrested two doctors from Sassoon Hospital in connection with the luxury car accident that resulted in the deaths of two motorcyclists earlier this week.

Doctors Accused of Manipulating Blood Samples

According to the police, the doctors have been charged with manipulating blood samples. The minor accused in the case was brought to the hospital for a medical check-up on the day of the accident, May 19. It was discovered that the minor's blood report was altered with another person’s sample, who had not consumed alcohol.

On the morning of May 25, the Crime Branch also arrested the grandfather of the minor accused. Amitesh Kumar, Commissioner of Pune City Police, stated, "The grandfather of the accused was arrested and a separate FIR has been registered against him under IPC sections 365 and 368."

The driver, Gangadhar, had filed a complaint alleging that he was forcibly taken to the accused’s grandfather's home against his will on the night of May 19, after leaving the Yerawada Police Station. He claimed that the grandfather and the father of the minor accused threatened him, confiscated his phone, and confined him in their bungalow to coerce him into taking responsibility for the accident.

Pune Accident

The tragic accident occurred when the minor drove his Porsche into two IT professionals, Ashwini Koshta and Aneesh Awadhia, who were on a motorcycle. Both victims, hailing from Madhya Pradesh, were killed instantly.

In response to the incident, friends and colleagues of the deceased victims held a protest in front of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) on Sunday, demanding justice.

The investigation continues as the police examine the involvement of all parties in the case, ensuring that justice is served for the tragic loss of lives.
