Pune: Car crashes through first floor parking as driver accidentally engages reverse gear; Watch viral video

A car crashed through the first floor parking lot of Shubh Gateway Apartment in Pune's Viman Nagar on Sunday morning.

The incident was captured on CCTV and the footage has now gone viral on social media, sparking discussions about safety measures in residential complexes.



The incident happened as the driver accidentally engaged the reverse gear instead of moving forward. The vehicle broke through the parking structure’s wall and crashed to the ground. Despite the loud crash and disturbing visual, no one was seriously injured in the accident.


The footage shows the parking structure's wall breaking apart under the weight and speed of the vehicle, raising questions about the construction quality and safety standards of the apartment complex.

Social media users expressed concerns about the wall's inability to withstand such accidents, calling for stricter regulations and better design for parking facilities. Some users speculated the driver to be using mobile as the cause of the accident.
