Prerna's arrest in December 2018 was related to an alleged misappropriation of Rs 31.6 crore funds for the film Padman, involving Pooja Films and its head Vashu Bhagnani.
Film producer Prerna Arora, known for her work in Rustom, has been acquitted by the Bombay High Court in a financial dispute case dating back 2018. As per a TOI report, the court, in its resolution of a longstanding financial dispute with Pooja Films, has mandated Prerna to pay a fine of three lakh rupees within a specified timeframe.

Relieved by the court's decision, Prerna Arora said, "Throughout this challenging ordeal, I maintained my faith in the system's ability to set an example for innocent individuals facing adversity." Prerna has already announced the production of two new films. She has produced movies like Kedarnath, Padman, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.
