The recent probe into banned terror group Hizb-ut Tahrir (HuT) in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan has unearthed alleged linkages with HuT's Uzbekistan cell.

NIA had over the weekend carried out raids at several locations in Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh and Jhalawar in Rajasthan as part of a probe against HuT. According to NIA, the raids were aimed at destroying various terror modules involved in the conspiracy to radicalise youths. This investigation has revealed HuT's Uzbekistan links, ET has learnt.

In Kokand, Fergana region of Uzbekistan, a group of men are being suspected of creating an underground cell of HuT, ET has learnt.
