Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a 2,600 bed hospital in Faridabad, on Wednesday. Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya and Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar were also present at the event.

Amrita Hospital, a state-of-the-art facility, is equipped with cutting-edge technology, including a centralised fully-automated laboratory. Built on 130 acres, the hospital has a dedicated seven-storey research block.

Built over the past six years, the hospital is opening up with 500 beds, initially and will slowly expand in phases over the next five years. The facility could become the largest private hospital in Delhi-NCR, once fully operational.

Current plans span 36 lakh sqft, including a 14-floor building, with a helipad.

Located in Faridabad's Sector 88, near the Delhi-Mathura road, the facility will also house eight centres of excellence, including gastro-sciences, renal sciences, bone diseases and trauma, transplants, and mother and child care.
