President Murmu appoints new governors for Haryana, Goa; Kavinder Gupta named LG of Ladakh

President Droupadi Murmu has appointed Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh as the new Governor of Haryana and Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju as the Governor of Goa, according to an official communication released on Monday.

Kavinder Gupta has been appointed as the new Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Ladakh.

The Rashtrapati Bhavan also confirmed that the President has accepted the resignation of Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) from the post of Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh.


The appointments will take effect from the dates the new appointees assume charge of their respective offices.
