Dahi shakkar or curd and sugar is fed by elderlies as a blessing to younger people before they set out to do something important. It is a traditional gesture in the Indian culture.

In a tweet, the Rashtrapati Bhavan said, "Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs Smt Nirmala Sitharaman along with Ministers of State Dr Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad and Shri Pankaj Chaudhary and senior officials of the Ministry of Finance called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan before presenting the Union Budget. "We will get President Droupadi Murmu's guidance, FM Nirmala Sitharaman will present interim budget; Nari Shakti's strength will be displayed," PM Narendra Modi said ahead of the Budget.
