The police on Monday arrested four people for consuming liquor in a modified car at an open space in Noida, reported TOI The officials said that the accused were consuming alcohol on Sunday near a banquet hall in sector 73, which comes under sector 113 police station limits.

The police said that the arrested belong to the management team of the banquet hall and the team operator.



However, police did not disclose if they received a complaint or took any action against the guests or hosts of the wedding ceremony.

"Police received information about open consumption of alcohol on Sunday, leading to immediate action against the event management team and the bar operator," they said.


The accused have been indentified as Haider (30), Arjun (20), Ajit (21), and Prateek Taneja (27), police said.

The car that belongs to Taneja has been seized by the police.
