"The vigilant troops maintained restraint while challenging the intruder and surgically apprehended the individual. The intruder was handed over to the Jammu and Kashmir Police for further legal proceedings," Army informed.
Police sources said Mir had crossed over to meet his "lover" from the Silikote area of this side of Uri, who was in touch with him over phone.
However, the plans to flee with his lover failed when he was apprehended by the forces.
In another incident, Army informed that two persons from Sopore along with their guide were apprehended when they were attempting to exfiltrate from LoC in Uri. - Hakeem Irfan Rashid
