Allegations have surfaced that singer Zubeen Garg may have been poisoned.

The late singer's bandmate, Shekhar Jyoti Goswami, has told investigators that Garg's manager Siddharth Sharma and festival organiser Shyamkanu Mahanta could have been involved. Police sources said Goswami, in testimony recorded under the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), described Sharma's behaviour before Garg's death in Singapore as "suspicious."

Sharma, who is named in the FIR, faces non-bailable charges including criminal conspiracy, murder and culpable homicide not amounting to murder. He has been arrested along with Shyamkanu Mahanta and musician Amritprava Mahanta.

Zubeen Garg died on September 19 while swimming near an island in Singapore, during a yacht outing with Goswami and Mahanta.

On Saturday, Garg's wife, Garima Saikia Garg, confirmed that she has handed over the post-mortem report to the Investigation Officer, saying it was not her personal property.
