Former J&K chief minister Mehbooba Mufti and Lok Sabha member from Srinagar Aga Ruhullah opposed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Israel.

She told reporters that Modi’s visit to Israel is against the country’s policy. “The whole world is against Israeli Prime Minister BB Netanyahu. The International Criminal Court of Justice has indicted him. He cannot go to several countries as he can be arrested,” said Mufti. The People’s Democratic Party president said that “Modiji, who is a representative of 140 crore people, hugs a criminal and has dialogue with him. This is not a good omen for Gandhi’s country.”

National Conference leader, Ruhullah, who is a prominent Shia leader, also reacted to Modi’s visit to Israel. “No, not my greetings…Given them my curses for their illegal occupation of Palestine and the genocide in Gaza,” Ruhullah wrote on X.
