New Delhi: When Prime Minister Narendra Modi shares the stage with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on November 25 to hoist the saffron flag atop the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, a fresh effort to rekindle the Hindutva sentiment among the UP electorate will simultaneously be unfurled, especially after the BJP's not-so-satisfactory performance in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, feel political observers.

The fact that the BJP-RSS combine is getting down to the brass tacks to consolidate the Hindu vote base conveys a loud message that both mean business, especially since this is perhaps for the second time after 2024 and after reports in the recent past of stiffness between BJP and RSS, that Modi and Bhagwat will share the stage. And Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is going the whole hog to take care of all the arrangements himself.

Buoyed by the victory in neighbouring Bihar, the BJP-RSS hopes to revive the Hindu sentiment to overshadow the caste identities in UP. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has invited guests from across Uttar Pradesh from different caste groups and rural backgrounds.

"The sacred saffron flag will convey a message of dignity, unity, and cultural continuity, embodying the ideals of Ram Rajya," the PM's official statement on the event reads.

The right-angled triangular flag, measuring ten feet in height and twenty feet in length, bears the image of a radiant Sun symbolising the brilliance and valour of Shri Ram, with 'Om' inscribed on it along with image of a Kovidara tree.

Incidentally, the programme is taking place on the auspicious Panchami of the Shukla Paksha in the month of Margashirsha, coinciding with the Abhijit Muhurat of Shri Ram and Maa Sita's Vivah Panchami, a day symbolising divine union.
