Prime Minister Narendra Modi's aircraft faced a technical issue at Deoghar airport in Jharkhand on Friday. The incident occurred after his arrival from Bihar's Jamui, where he attended an event marking the 150th birth anniversary of Birsa Munda.

Modi had flown by helicopter from Deoghar to Jamui for the event. Upon returning to Deoghar airport for his flight back to Delhi, a technical issue prevented his aircraft from taking off.

Due to the Prime Minister’s visit, Deoghar was declared a no-fly zone, impacting other travel plans. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and JMM campaigner Kalpana Soren experienced delays as their helicopters were not allowed to take off.

Rahul Gandhi, who had addressed a rally in Meharma, Godda district, was grounded as a result. Congress workers expressed dissatisfaction over the delay. Deepika Pandey Singh, Mahagama MLA and Congress candidate, remarked: "Just because the Prime Minister is in Deoghar, Rahul Gandhi was not allowed to pass through that airspace. We understand protocols, but Congress governed this country for 70 years, and such incidents never happened to opposition leaders. This is unacceptable."

Kalpana Soren, a JMM leader and Gandey MLA, also encountered delays, preventing her from attending a scheduled public meeting of the INDIA bloc at Sonwa Dangal (Rikhiya) in Deoghar Assembly. Reports indicated that her helicopter was held back due to the presence of the Prime Minister’s plane.

On Friday, Prime Minister Modi addressed two rallies in Jharkhand in honor of tribal leader Birsa Munda's anniversary, observed as Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas. This event also took place ahead of the second phase of Assembly elections scheduled for November 20.
