Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Karnataka on Wednesday (April 15) to inaugurate the Sri Guru Bhairavaikya Mandira at Sri Kshetra Adichunchanagiri in Mandya district at 11 am.

He will also address a public gathering on the occasion. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will receive the PM at the HAL airport at 10 am.

During the visit, Modi will jointly release the book “Saundarya Lahari and Shiva Mahimna Stotram” along with former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda.

Sri Guru Bhairavaikya Mandira is a memorial dedicated to the Balagangadharanatha Swami, the 71st pontiff of the Sri Adichunchanagiri mutt.

Built in traditional Dravidian architectural style, the structure commemorates the seer’s life and legacy and is envisaged as a centre of inspiration for future generations, a release from PM’s office said.

Balagangadharanatha Swami was widely regarded for his contributions to social service, particularly in the fields of education and healthcare. His teachings, rooted in inclusivity, emphasised service to society as the highest form of worship, cutting across barriers of caste, creed and region, the release added.
