NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Bharat Tex 2024 Expo, a four-day exhibition of textiles sector, which will commence from February 26, commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal said Saturday.

The exhibition will be held from February 26-29.

Goyal said it will be held at the Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi complexes and the entire textile sector is coming together on one platform for the first time.


He also said that a three day “Startup Mahakumbh” will be organised from March 18 at Bharat Mandapam.

“It will be the largest get together of startups, unicorns, soonicorns..all under one roof showcasing the India story, story of our youth, talent, technology, and innovation,” Goyal said, adding that India is the third largest startup ecosystem of the globe.

So far, over 1.17 lakh startups are recognised by the government.
