PM Modi to attend Kullu Dussehra today
On Wednesday, he will witness the unique rath yatra of more than 300 deities. It will be the first time that a PM would be participating in the event.

Modi had participated in the Navratri celebrations at GMDC ground in Ahmedabad on September 29. He visits his home state during Navratras almost every year, apart from observing a 9-day fast. On Ganesh Chaturthi day, Modi visited the residence of commerce minister Piyush Goyal to seek blessings of Lord Ganesha, while for Raksha Bandhan, daughters of staff members working in PMO tied rakhis on him.
During Bihu, Modi attended celebrations at the residence of Union minister Sarbananda Sonowal. Modi participated in the 400th Prakash Purab celebrations of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur at the Red Fort too. He participated in Shabad Kirtan on Ravidass Jayanti at a temple in Karol Bagh in February and on Gurupurab last December took part in celebrations at Gurudwara Lakhpat Sahib in Gujarat.
Modi celebrated Dev Deepawali in Varanasi in November 2020 and in April 2018 joined celebrations at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium on Buddha Jayanti. In October 2017, Modi attended the 350th birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Gobind Singh in Patna. On Mahashivratri in February 2017, he visited Coimbatore to unveil a 112-foot iconic statue of Lord Shiva and celebrated Dussehra in 2016 in Lucknow.
