"On the basis of the experience of 10 years of governance, looking at today's strong economy and the rapid speed with which India is progressing today, I can confidently say that in our third term, India will be the third largest economic power. This is Modi's guarantee," PM Modi said during his speech for Motion of Thanks on the President's address on Monday.
"The third term of our government is not far now, 100-125 days maximum," he added.
The 73-year-old leader also expressed his confidence in returning to power with a majority and charted the plan.
"In the first term, we kept filling the potholes of UPA, in the second term we laid the foundation of a new India, in the third term we will accelerate the building of a developed India," he said.
"Our third term will witness very big decisions, will lay strong foundation for next 1,000 years," Modi added.
Modi said that if the Opposition was happy with Indian economy ranking eleventh, they should be happy that today India is on 5th spot.
"India was the 11th largest economy in 2014. Today, India is the 5th largest economy, and yet they (Congress) are silent. They saw a vision that India will be the third largest in 30 years. We will not allow the nation to wait for so long. It is Modi's guarantee that in our third term, India will be the third largest economic power," he added.
Further, the Prime Minister also said that the President's Address serves as a huge document based on facts, which shows the speed and scale with which the country is moving forward.
"Today the whole world is watching the speed of work of our government as well as our big goals and courage," Modi said.
"Startups, digital creators, unicorns, gig economy - these are the new vocabulary of the new Bharat," PM Modi added.
"We gave 17 crore gas connections in 10 years. With Congress' pace, this would've taken 60 years. Sanitation coverage reached 100% from 40% in our Government. This would've taken 60-70 years in the Congress government," the PM said.
He added, "We built 4 crore homes for poor, it would have taken 100 years to achieve this at Congress govt's pace."
